
The Knights and the Rosary
Every practical Catholic gentlemen in the Philippines wanting to become a full-pledge KC member and interested to rise up in status in the Order of KC undergoes four degree exemplifications called First Degree, Second Degree, Third Degree, and Fourth Degree exemplifications, each with different ceremonies and each represented by the four foundational principles of the KC, namely, charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Mary and the Knights—a team beyond compare, in the service of her Divine Son.” According to tradition, Dominican friar Alanus de Rupe received from Mother Mary fifteen (15) promises to those who pray the Rosary devoutly. Several of these include (a) receipt of signal graces; (b) powerful armor against hell; (c) virtue and good works to flourish; (d) they shall not be conquered by misfortune; (e) they shall not die without the sacraments of the Church; and (f) they shall have, during their life and at their death, the light of God and the plenitude of graces.
